This is the second consecutive year we've been lucky enough to source a bright gem from Gitesi, which produced the 1st place winner in the 2012 Cup of Excellence. The Gitesi Washing Station, built in 2005 and located in the Karongi District of Rwanda's Western Province, is supplied by 1,830 farmers growing coffee in the surrounding ridges. Farmers are paid an additional dividend by the station at the end of the season based on quality and production. Just as last year's lot, this specific Bourbon varietal lot was selected for its consistent, bright, sweet, complex character.
